Job title: Warehouse Stock Validation Operative (ServiceNow Transition)
Salary: £27,000 (pro rata for 3-month fixed term - works out to roughly £12.98 per hour)

Contract: Fixed Term Contract – 3 months
Reporting to: Warehouse Manager (day-to-day), with oversight from Supply Chain
Hours: Full time (shift pattern to align with warehouse operations)

Role purpose

This is an initial fixed-term opportunity to support a structured warehouse verification project as part of our transition to ServiceNow. The role will create a high-quality dataset confirming what is held on each pallet and where it is located, in line with agreed data and labelling standards.

Key responsibilities

• Complete physical verification of pallets and storage locations within the defined warehouse area.
• Confirm pallet contents using labels and supporting documentation, including part number/SKU, description, quantity and (where applicable) serial/IMEI or other identifiers.
• Capture results accurately in the agreed template, following version control and data governance requirements.
• Apply or replace pallet/location labels where required, using the agreed labelling standard.
• Identify and record items requiring further investigation (e.g., mixed pallets, missing labels, quarantine items or incomplete documentation) and escalate through the agreed process.
• Work closely with warehouse and inventory stakeholders to investigate queries and close out outstanding items.
• Maintain daily progress reporting against the plan (work completed, items escalated, items closed).
• Support periodic spot checks to confirm data quality and consistency.
• Follow all site Health & Safety requirements, including manual handling and safe use of warehouse equipment.

Key deliverables

• A complete and accurate stock verification file for the defined area, pallet-by-pallet and location-by-location.
• A structured log of items requiring follow-up, with clear status and ownership.
• Summary reporting on work completed and outstanding actions.

Skills and experience

Essential

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment (receipts, storage, picking, inventory, or similar).
• High attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Comfortable using spreadsheets and structured templates for data capture.
• Ability to follow defined processes and work to daily targets.
• Clear communication and willingness to escalate issues appropriately.

Desirable

• Experience in stock verification, cycle counting or inventory control.
• Familiarity with serialised assets or parts data (part numbers, device estates, IMEI/serial capture).
• Experience using WMS/ERP/service tools (training provided; ServiceNow knowledge not required).
