The Role
Reporting to the Head of Electrical and Electrical Supervisor, you'll carry out electrical installations, inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs across customer sites, ensuring all work is completed safely, compliantly, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical installations, maintenance, remedial works, and repairs
- Installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of AC and DC EV charging equipment
- Installation and termination of LV power and control cabling
- Installation of cable containment, ducting, and supporting infrastructure
- Working on three-phase LV electrical systems, distribution boards, and feeder pillars
- Inspection, testing, fault finding, and diagnostics
- Completion of electrical certificates, commissioning records, and technical documentation
- Ensuring compliance with BS7671 and current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Following RAMS, safe isolation procedures, permits, and health & safety requirements
- Building professional relationships with customers, site managers, and contractors
- Supporting projects to successful completion while maintaining exceptional workmanship standards
What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak to qualified electricians who have a strong background in commercial and industrial electrical work and take pride in delivering work to a high standard.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical installations
- Electrical infrastructure installation, maintenance, and fault-finding experience
- Knowledge of three-phase LV systems and associated equipment
- Experience installing and terminating large power cables, including SWA/AWA
- Competency using electrical testing equipment
- Strong understanding of UK electrical regulations and safe working practices
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites
Essential Qualifications
- Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2018 (2382-22)
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (2357) or equivalent
- AM2 Electrotechnical Assessment
- Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection & Testing (2391-52)
- Level 3 Award (2921) EV Infrastructure & Maintenance qualification
Desirable Experience
- Experience working with 7kW to 400kW AC/DC EV charging equipment
- EVSE diagnostics and fault finding
- Site surveying for new and retrofit installations
- Collection of technical data and material requirements for future projects and customers
