Are you an experienced EPOS Field Engineer or IT Field Service Engineer looking for your next challenge?


We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused EPOS Field Engineer to support a range of retail, hospitality, and leisure customers across the UK. Based from Wolverhampton, this field-based role combines hands-on break-fix support with installation and deployment projects, giving you a varied and rewarding workload.

What You'll Be Doing


As an EPOS Field Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and deploying critical technology systems that keep businesses operational, including:

  • Diagnosing and repairing EPOS, IT and networking equipment
  • Attending customer sites to resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues
  • Installing, configuring and testing new EPOS and IT systems
  • Carrying out structured cabling and Wi-Fi fault investigations
  • Conducting site surveys for planned upgrades and installations
  • Performing preventative maintenance on customer equipment
  • Supporting project rollouts and technology deployments
  • Providing a professional and customer-focused service at all times
  • Working closely with engineering, planning and project management teams


What We're Looking For


Essential

  • Minimum 6 months' experience in a field-based  customer service engineering role, ideally in the retail/hospitality/leisure industry
  • Knowledge of EPOS systems, PCs, peripherals and IP networking
  • Experience installing and supporting IT equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Full UK Driving Licence

 

Desirable

  • Experience within retail, hospitality, leisure or field service environments
  • Wi-Fi troubleshooting and structured cabling experience
  • Experience supporting multi-site customer environments

Important Information

  • This is a field-based role with extensive travel across the UK
  • Occasional overnight stays may be required
  • Some out-of-hours and night work will be necessary to support customer requirements
